Getting Your Ducklings in a Row is a booklet created to give parents basic information regarding age and vaccination requirements of school systems serving the majority of military children. Most military families already know that school entry requirements vary from state to state. It is also important to note that individual districts can (and do) impose additional requirements so variations can also be seen in the same state. Our best advice is to contact your new school district to make sure you have the most accurate information about their requirements and to be careful about the details. 29 of the 50 states, plus DoDEA, are represented in this publication. States were selected based on the number of military children located in each state.
